Release Notes

v2.4.10 New Features

  • Remote control Panel mode allows using the MP-16 Rack mount panel and DT-16 Desktop hardware panels as a control unit for VIP.

v2.4.10 Improvements

  • Mic Send Mode: Generate Livewire stream only when talk is active / bandwidth optimization and privacy
  • Recovery from incorrectly saved PTP configuration
  • Disabled Livewire Advertisement listening to reduce network traffic and CPU load (Beltpacks and VIP).
  • License requests optimization (spread requests over time, scaling of VIP systems)
  • WebAudio optimization: generate only when needed (CPU usage optimization on VIP)
  • NDI updated to version 5.5
  • VIP: Disable HTTP when SSL certificate is installed
  • Integrated Beacon "admin" user, so no separate Beacon login is required
  • Updated VIP container based image to include recent security updates

v2.4.10 Bug Fixes

  • MXP-20 Expansion Panel: WEB UI no longer shows AES67 page
  • MXP-20 Expansion Panel: Brightness, Dim Level and Dim Timeout have no effect
  • MP-16 Display Time out of 0 should disable dimming
  • Device goes offline when label is changed from Dashboard
  • VIP Panel Navigation Mode control display overlap
  • HTTPPASSWORD not set in fresh VIP deployment was causing the need to restart containers.
  • Audio from Aux XLR set to Mono Mic on Hardware Panels is distorted. The AES67 was mono, not supported by some of Telos products.
  • Infinity device not releasing GPIO TCP connection if GPIO pin removed from Dashboard. Causing TCP resource leak and potential loss of GPIO connectivity between Infinity devices and GPIO nodes.
  • Fixed NDI statistics display on Link
  • Headset did not dim the headset output, like Talk Key Dims Speaker did
  • Fixed default attributes of keys assigned using Directory / Key Assign front panel menu
  • Fixed defaults: Mic Selection, Input Compressor, Global Talk Key Action, Error in PTP config showing logic
  • Fixed VIP Invitation message: expired for invites valid in future
  • Changed configuration precedence: individual container Environment Variables override /etc/telos/vipserver.env

v2.3.13 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed undesired intercom key behavior: VOX unlatches TALK on a T/AL (Talk auto listen) key
  • RTP Extension was not handled. Receiving RTP frame with Extension was causing audio drop out.
  • Modified the behavior of auto-listen logic for key types other than peer. The auto-listen logic turns on listen on a key on device power up/reboot and when user presses talk.
  • VIP Setup Scripts: Change service shutdown order to prevent vipserver container from not being able to receive a license on start
  • MP-16: Change production test mode back, so that MIC and HS produces yellow color as well as red and green, they way it was behaving before 2.3.11 release.
  • Firmware update fails if there are multiple scenes defined in Dashboard 2.2 and earlier. Dashboard pushes one request per scene to the device. This problem will be addressed in future updates of Dashboard.Workaround: In a system with multiple scenes, update devices individually rather than the entire zone.

v2.3.11 Updates

  • New Ganged Key feature
  • Coturn integration and menu improvements including container creation
  • Beacon to show panel names
  • Talk key will automatically unmute mic
  • PTP container is available to sync VIP Appliance to external PTP clock
  • Enable NDI HX compression support
  • Added Microphone Compressor Limiter to VIP Panel
  • Added forced Listener Key mode for Groups
  • Panel speaker dimming when Talk is active (user configurable)
  • Added Link stream statistics and audio confidence meters
  • Beltpack menu exit on display dim timeout

v2.3.11 Bug Fixes

  • Dashboard network configuration utility for Windows
  • Removed Dashboard container license check
  • 4-Key Beltpack key indexing that caused key 3 to be removed
  • Break LWRP connections after password change
  • Remove Livewire advertisements of partyline renderers
  • Beacon enhancements:
    • editing invites could cause audio disruptions
    • Allow removal of the initial admin account
    • Add app link support to invite email
  • Switching Streamdeck pages may cause a disconnect
  • Streamdeck Last Call button now mimics hardware behavior
  • Panel Copy and Load enhancements for stability
  • Improved handling for touch actions allows different key modes for latching and non-latching
  • Configuration loading and validation improvements for software update/downgrade stability
  • Updated WebRTC to support newer TURN security features / fix 10minut TURN session disconnect
