Providing Phantom Power to Microphones

Updated by Johnny Goldsmith

Scope

This document explains how to supply Phantom power to a microphone when using any of the QOR consoles, excluding the iQx.

Phantom Power

Any of the four microphone inputs (or two microphone inputs if using a QOR.16) on the back panel of the engine may have its 48-volt Phantom power enabled via the engine's web page configuration.

To individually activate any of the microphone inputs, click on the Inputs tab under IO Manager.

Simply check the Enable box to the microphone you wish to supply phantom power to. Hit Apply for changes to take place immediately.

Please take appropriate precautions if you connect anything other than a microphone to these inputs when Phantom power is enabled. Any damage to any equipment caused by using phantom power will not be covered under any warranty terms.
