iProfiler Archive Won't Start

Scope

This document is referring to all versions of Axia iProfiler archive not starting.

Description

When starting to configure iProfiler there might be an issue with getting the stream to start recording. If you noticed that you start the archive to record but then all of sudden stop or not record anything. Please follow these steps.

  1. Check to make sure you are running iProfiler as Admin.
    1. Close iProfiler
    2. Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\iProFiler Server"
    3. Right-click on iProfiler.exe
    4. Open Properties
    5. Click the Compatibility Tab
    6. Check the "Run the program as an administrator"
    7. Now hit OK
    8. You can now reopen iProfiler and start the archive
  2. If the archive isn't starting, we can move on and check the security setting for the mic.
    1. Here is a document that explains how to enable mic security for applications to use the recording devices. Axia driver appears to install and work fine but will not record.
If you are still having issues, you can look up the log file to find errors in the same folder where your archive is being stored. There should be a folder called logs. If you open the folder you will notice each day has its own file. You can gather more information here if needed.
