Properly Grounding a TVC-15
Scope
This document applies to the TVC-15 Watermark Analyzer and Monitor, but also holds true for Voltair units as well.
Grounding Lug
As many of our manuals indicate, "(each piece of equipment) must be connected to a grounded metal permanent wiring system or other equipment grounding conductor."
The TVC-15 has a ground lug on its rear panel for proper grounding.
For ground sources, we recommend, in order of preference:
- “Station Ground,” the heavy copper strap found in the walls and floors of many radio studios
- AC Safety Ground — the “3rd prong” of a nearby outlet
- A bonded electrical conduit
