Using Two Consoles with a QOR Engine

Scope

This article applies to the QOR-Based DesQ and RaQ consoles only. Twin Studios mode is not supported with iQ, Radius, or other 4-buss console surfaces.

Twin Studios feature is available in both QOR.16 and QOR.32 engines.

Configure for Twin Studios

The QOR engine's twin studio mode allows the use of two RAQ or DESQ consoles simultaneously. This is configured from the QOR's Console Configuration web page.

You'll notice these consoles only have 2 program busses.  This allows the QOR engine to split its 4 program busses between 2 consoles. Programs 1&2 are used for Studio 1 while Programs 3&4 are used for Studio 2. Once the QOR is configured to have two DESQ or RAQ consoles in Twin Studios mode, the two studios will appear in the show profile setup and remote page.

Also, source availability in the source profile will now have a studio 1 and studio 2 option:

Note: Pre-existing source profiles will default to Studio 1 only. If the source profile does not show up in the channel source selection for Studio 2, check this.

You'll notice these consoles only have only 2 program busses.  This allows the QOR engine to split its four program busses between two consoles. Programs 1&2 are used for Studio 1 while Programs 3&4 are renamed and used for Studio 2. A second set of monitoring outputs will also appear for studio 2:

NOTE THAT there is no record bus for the RAQ or DESQ console. This feature is only available for the iQ and Radius consoles.

The same limitations to LW streams exist with the QOR, only being able to handle 16 total LW I/O streams per engine, which will need to be divided between these two studios.
