Using Windows 11 with the Axia IP Audio Driver

Updated 1 month ago by Bryan Jones

Scope

This document covers the Microsoft release of Windows 11 with Telos Alliance products, specifically IP-Driver.

Description

On October 5th, 2021, Microsoft began rolling out its new Windows 11 operating system. Many broadcast facilities heavily use Windows software as part of their audio workflows for over the air and streaming. Several Telos Alliance products use Windows, including our Axia IP-Audio Driver for Windows.

Because of the critical nature of the affected systems, we recommend waiting 60-90 days before installing the update.

We encourage you to send us feedback, and we will report back when we have more information to share.

Additional Details

We have no evidence to suggest that it will NOT work. The issue is the unknown nature of Windows 11 and any long-term effects. We always appreciate and value feedback from our customers. If you have already installed the Axia IP Audio Driver using Windows 11 we would welcome feedback with your experience. While we can not specifically provide support for Windows 11 at this time, having feedback from you will help us focus our testing.
